After several days of unpacking boxes we decided to call it quits and take in some of the sites around our new home. My mother and I took the boys one morning to the Meijers Botanical Gardens and Sculpture Park. Wow, was that amazing. Needless to say, we are now proud members of this cultural institution.

Here, the boys are floating boats in the child sized replica of the great lakes, complete with waterfalls and currents. We spent a LOT of time here.

We found this dragon sculpture on our way to find the labrinyth.

Then we checked out the tree houses and learned about animals that live in trees.

Then we checked out life on the prairie in an old log cabin, and played some checkers.

Next, we found the "quarry" where we worked in the sand and found fossils.

Here's the snake we found there too! We were very excited about this find.

We loved this house with all its puppets.

Time for snack! Check us out cooling off in a beaver's den.

We all really fell in love with this place and look forward to going back often. When you come to visit us at the Stidolph Inn-Grand Rapids, be prepared for us to drag you there. Wear your walking shoes.
Here is a link to their website to check it out for yourself.
