2010 Winter Olympics (AVP Style)

Harrison's Pre-K class at Ada Village Preschool have really gotten into the winter olympics. So what better way to learn than to put on our very own AVP Winter Olympics. There are hardly any words to describe how cool this day was. I will let my pictures tell the story.

Here's my olympiad for Team Yellow!
Here, all the athletes enter the Olympic stadium.

They circle the room to the Olympic theme. Each child made their own flag.

All serious during the National Anthem.

Leading his friend Taylor down the "track" in the Bobsled event. Yes, those are painted cardboad boxes tapes to wheeled dollies.

Harrison is very serious as he prepares for his run down the bobsled course.

After awhile Team Yellow tired of running the course and decided to race each other.

Here we are at the top of the "Luge" track.

... and now we're at the bottom.

On to the ice skating event, or speed skating, not sure which one.

He's definitely busting some dance moves here.

Downhill ski racing was very intense.

I love this expression! "enough with the pictures lady!"

We spent a great deal of time on the ski hill.

The next event was "curling."

It more resembled shuffleboard to me, but the kids had a blast.

Celebrating his success at one of the events.

And the final event was "hockey"

Walking up to the podium during the awards ceremony.

Receiving his "medal."

My little Olympic medalist.
