Signs of Autumn

As if someone flipped on a light switch, the colors of autumn are bursting everywhere in the last few days. Our trees are just beginning to turn as you can see above. The air is turning crisp, days are getting shorter, and we squeeze in all the playtime sessions outside that we can, in between rain showers. Tonight, Garth took Millie and the boys out back to play while he attempted some yard work ...

Millie is relaxing with her new lovie "wubba." We go EVERYWHERE with our wubba.

Maclin was very busy in the sandbox.
Way too busy to entertain mommy wanting to take his picture.

Harrison conned Garth into letting him help blow leaves.
Griffin enjoys blowing leaves quite a bit.
Investigating how the leaf blower works.
Experimenting other fun ways to use the leaf blower.

Tomorrow we are taking a family trip to a local orchard to pick apples. There seems to be loads of u-pick farms all around Michigan. I am very excited to experience this with my boys. We always go to the pumpkin patch in the fall, but with apples being so plentiful here in Michigan I hope we will be adding a new fall tradition of apple picking to our repetoire.
Watch for pictures from this adventure soon.
