Yesterday, we had some of Griffin’s friends over to celebrate his birthday. The weather was beautiful and the kids played happily outside.
The neighborhood happened to be having their annual picnic at the same time and the local fire fighters brought their engine. We of course, trotted down the street to take a look. They all had fun climbing up on the truck and taking turns driving. One friend told me “That’s not a very big truck. I’ve seen bigger.”
So once the novelty of the “small” fire engine wore off, we headed back to the house for cake. Here, Griffin is sizing up the candles.
Takes a deep breath …
… and blow!
I’m not sure what this expressions says, but …
Harrison was excited.
Poor Maclin slept through the majority of the party, waking up just in time for cake.
It was a lovely backyard party shared with good friends.
